What is RVLI?
River Valley Leadership Institute is designed to engage interns in their spiritual growth along with intentional and practical leadership development through hands-on ministry experience. We exist to equip leaders in their process of discovering and developing their God-given gifts, to confidently pursue their next step. RVLI interns also have the opportunity to earn college credit and a degree from Southeastern University.

Who You Will Learn From
Terry Parkman
Terry is the NextGen Pastor at River Valley Church as well as the Director of River Valley Leadership Institute. His heartbeat is for this “emerging generation” of youth and young adults and helping them to discover their purpose, developing them as leaders, and empowering them to step out into the plan of God for their lives. He lives in the Minneapolis-metro area with his wife Christina and his two daughters Avalie and Nova.

Dasha Polyakova
Dasha Polyakova serves as the Director of the River Valley Leadership Institute. Her various past leadership positions held in organizations around the world have helped fuel and inform her passion to see the next generation trained, resourced and empowered. Through a practical and relational approach, Dasha leverages her experience to help others discover their gifts, develop their passions and follow their call.

Ashley Gamer
Ashley Gamer was hired at River Valley Church in August of 2017 as the RVLI Admin Assistant, after interning with RVLI for nearly two years. Ashley graduated from the University of Northwestern St. Paul in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in ministry. She is passionate about the local church and loves to be a part of a team that helps people grow and develop in ministry and their relationship with the Lord. Ashley loves spending time with her friends, summer weather, a good cup of coffee, and Indian food.
